I'm a journalist with over 20 years of experience in corporate communications and media relations.
I've spent much of my career working within large organizations, leading external and internal communications projects, managing relationships with journalists, and supporting organizations through periods of change and crisis.
At Leukkers, we put this experience to work for organizations seeking strategic and effective communications.

THE MEANING OF LEUKKERS
leuk or lewk - /
light, brightness, shine
“Leuk” is the Indo-European root that has formed the word “light” in many languages
λευκός (leukós) in Ancient Greek; “lux” in Latin, from which we derive “luz” in Spanish or “luce” in Italian; the Germanic “leukhtam” from which we derive “light” in English and the German “Licht”. We can see the same root in the Scandinavian languages, in Icelandic “ljós”, in Norwegian “lys” or in Swedish “ljus”.

Leukkers appeals to what unites all people, in all nations and throughout the centuries: the need to communicate and connect. Share experiences and emotions. It was like this in the stories our ancestors told by the bonfires, and so it continues to be in the internet era.
"Leuker" also means "cool" in Dutch! Why not? ;)
